All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JAMES EDWARD PARKER Suffolk - Nov. 27 - James Edward Parker, prominent citizen of Suffolk, died at 8 o’clock tonight in Johnston-Willis hospital, Richmond, aged 51 years. He was a son of Mrs. Annie Parker and the late Thomas Parker of Nansemond County. Mr. Parker is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lula Williams Parker; one daughter, Miss Ethel Parker, and one son, James E. Parker, Jr., all of Suffolk. Mr. Parker for the last twelve years had been an official of the State Penitentiary at Richmond. The body will be brought to Suffolk on the 11 a.m. Norfolk & Western train from Richmond tomorrow, and will be taken to the Parker home on Washington Street. The funeral will be conducted Monday, at an hour yet to be announced.
