Jan. 13 - Funeral services for Millson Parker, 78, for many years a prominent merchant in Suffolk and for the past few years a resident of Norfolk, who died at his home in Larchmont yesterday, were held at the grave in Cedar Hill Cemetery today at 1 o’clock and were conducted by Rev. John G. Truitt, pastor of the Suffolk Christian Church. Mr. Parker was born in Nansemond County and was a son of the late James Albert and Lucy Costen Parker and had spent a large portion of his life in Suffolk. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Parker; a daughter of Mrs. Harold Hudgins of Norfolk; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Otis S. Smith of Suffolk. There were a number of tributes. The hymn "How Firm a Foundation" was read by Rev. Mr. Truitt at the grave. Active pallbearers were William S. Beamon, John B. Norfleet, Carr, J.R. Saunders, George Smith, John K. Hutton, Walter Eason and Lewis G. Brothers.
