ANNIE MASSENBURG PRETLOW

   SUFFOLK - Miss Annie Massenburg Pretlow, 82, died Tuesday night in a Norfolk 
hospital after an illness of several months.

   She was a daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Jefferson Pretlow and Mrs. Anne 
Eliza Massenburg Pretlow. A native of Southampton County, she and resided in 
Suffolk since 1912.  She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church.

   Survivors are a nephew, James L. McLemore Jr. of Suffolk, and three nieces, 
Mrs. Robert Matthews of Norfolk; Mrs. Richard Seeler of Forest Hills, N.Y., and 
Mrs. Alexandra Ormiston of Saskatoon, Canada.

   Funeral services will be conducted at the Hill Funeral Home today at 2 p.m. 
by the Rev. George S. Lightner, pastor of Main Street Methodist Church. Burial 
will be in the family cemetery at Beechwood, Southampton County.

   The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
