Pruden, wife of R.S. Pruden, died yesterday morning at 12:45 o'clock at the residence at 127 North St., after a long illness. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Thelma Pruden, three brothers, Carr S. Butler II, Suffolk, Ralph and Russell Butler, Chicago, Ill., a sister, Mrs. J.T. Pruden, Suffolk, and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the funeral home of I.O. Hill and Company, where it remained until 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon at which time it was carried to the residence. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church this afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Lottie S. Pruden Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie S. Pruden were held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the First Baptist church, conducted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin. A male quartet composed of J.C. Moore, W.J. Work, James Harrell and Byrum Cutchins, accompanied by Mrs. Work, sang "Blessed Assurance" and "The Old Rugged Cross," a solo "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" was sung by W.J. Work. There were many handsome floral tributes and the casket was covered with a pall of Ascension lilies, pink rose buds, white and lavender chrysanthemums. Active pallbearers were Walter B. Eason, J.H. Stanley, Harvey F. Howell, C.C. Rawls, Fitzhugh Copeland, Hobson Hines, Harvey Ashburn, S.M. Davis, Cornelius Savage, and Forest Oliver. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery.
