FRANK POPE ROBERTS 

  Frank Pope Roberts, 52, died Monday night at his home at Rt. 3, Box 223, 
Holland Road. 

  He was manager of Frank's Original Softball Team and a retired welder and 
was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. 

  Roberts was the husband of Mrs. Margaret Jordan Roberts and son of the late 
Willie Roberts and Mrs. Lizzie Pope Roberts. 

  Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Frank P. Roberts Jr. and 
Donald W. Roberts, both of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Abbott of Suffolk 
and Mrs. Olive Bailey of Miami, Fla.; and one grandchild. 

  A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Tabernacle 
Baptist Church, Holland Road, by the Rev. Arthur McGahan and the Rev. William 
B. Denston Jr.  Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. 

  The body will be taken from Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home to the church at 
2:30 p.m.

  A funeral service for Frank Pope Roberts, who died Monday, was conducted at 
3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Arthur McGahan 
and the Rev. William B. Denston Jr.  Burial was in Meadowbrook Memorial 
Gardens. 

  Pallbearers were Bobby Bleiler, Thomas Harrell, Calvin Jones, Ronnie 
Chittum, Wayne Byrum, Larry Rogers, Jimmy Luter and Hassell Wood.  Sidney F. 
Harrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
