MARY JANE RAIFORD

   Suffolk, Oct. 18 - Mary Jane Raiford, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
E.F. Raiford, of Box Elder, Nansemond County, died at the Raiford Hospital, 
Franklin, last night at 11 o’clock, after an illness of several weeks.

   Besides her parents, she is survived by a sister, Ann Raiford, and four 
brothers, E.F. Jr., Ernest J. and James P. Raiford, all of Nansemond County and 
Graham W. Raiford, of Green Bay, Va.; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. C.C. 
Copeland, of the county, and several uncles and aunts.

   Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Friends’ 
Church, Box Elder, conducted by the Rev. A.E. Cloud, assisted by the Rev. Dr. 
N.G. Newman.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
