MARY SPIVEY ROSE 

   SUFFOLK - Mary Spivey Rose, 82, of the 300 block of Cedar Street, a retired 
inspector, died Sept. 2, in a hospital.

   Mrs. Rose, a native of Isle of Wight County, was a widow of Scott William 
Rose.  She was member of First Baptist Church.  She had retired from A and P 
Peanut Co. after 20 years service.

   Survivors include a sister, Minnie S. Rhodes of Suffolk.

   The funeral was conducted Friday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Charles W. Thompson.  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond/Suffolk Rescue Squad.
