She was the wife of the late Poy Russell, who died last month, and a daughter of Franklin A. and Mrs. Queen Victoria Rountree of Nansemond County. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. R.L. Bradshaw, Mrs. Cecil Gautier, Mrs. J.B. Lassiter, Mrs. Will Rountree, Mrs. Edward Holland and Mrs. William Chaney, all of Nansemond County; five sons, J.L. Russell, Vernon Russell and Willie Russell and Jack Russell, all of Nansemond County, and Paul Russell of Norfolk; three half-sisters, Mrs. Eva Lassiter of Southampton County, Mrs. Bessie Rountree of Suffolk and Mrs. Estelle Pierce of Drum Hill, N.C.; two half-brothers, Raymond Rountree and Wallace Rountree, both of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. A funeral service will be held at I.O. Hill and Co. Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Harvey Nicholson, pastor of Whaleyville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Somerton Methodist Church cemetery, near Whaleyville. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Mary Russell Is Buried Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Fanney Russell were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Harvey C. Nicholson, pastor of Somerton Methodist Church. Burial was in Somerton Church Cemetery. Mrs. J. Webb Pinner Jr., played an organ solo entitled "Face to Face." The casket was covered with a pall of red and white carnations and white gladioli. Pallbearers were William Chaney, John L. Chaney, Arthur Russell, Charlie Russell, Paul Bradshaw, Wilbur Bradshaw, Leroy Bradshaw and Calvin Salmon.
