Rogers, took its flight of that City where is no night. She was seventy-six years and twenty-four days old. Her death was such a shock to her friends and loved ones, especially the one who was with her almost along for she was sick only half an hour after she called for someone to do something for her. Yes, dear Mother has left us and its so hard to realize we will never see her in this world again. But why complain when God saw fit to take her from us? She was a devoted and affectionate mother, a kind and considerate neighbor, and an earnest, zealous and true Christian, faithful to her church, where she will be missed, and where she had made preparation to attend on the day God saw fit to take her to the Church above. She was a member of Whaleyville M.E. Church, South, where her funeral was preached by Rev. R.L. Busby, and we laid her to rest in the Church cemetery by the side of her husband who preceded her nearly three years ago. She leaves to mourn their loss 7 children, twenty-six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, and a host of friends. "Like a golden gleam of sunshine, Like a flower with fragrance sweet, Was her gentle life amongst us. With love so full complete." HER LOVED ONES Almira (SAVAGE; Mrs. Richard T.)
