Frank Rogers, a prominent resident of this city, died at his home, 301 Linden Avenue, this morning at 5:30 o’clock after an illness of one week, age 76. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lulie Rogers; seven sons, H.B. Rogers, of San Francisco; L. E. Rogers, of Portsmouth; R.F. Rogers, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; W.J., C.H., and F.R. Rogers, all of Huntington, W.Va., and George Earl Rogers, of Suffolk; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rogers had been a lifelong resident of Nansemond County, and had lived in Suffolk for 13 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Liberty Spring Christian Church, of which Mr. Rogers was a lifelong member, by Dr. I.W. Johnson, Dr. W.W. Staley and the Rev. H.S. Hardcastle. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
