All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ GEORGIA ALMIRA ROGERS Suffolk, Virginia, December 14 - Age 81, daughter of the late Richard Thomas and Almira Savage Rogers of Nansemond County, died at the home of her nieces, Miss Dorothy Truitt and Miss Helen Truitt Monday afternoon, December 14, 1953. She is survived by one brother, R. Emmett Rogers of Cypress and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church and the L.M. Lee Bible Class. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 16, 1953 at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. George S. Lightener, pastor of Main Street Methodist Church, at the R.W. Baker and company Funeral Home by the Rev. George S. Lightner, pastor of Main Street Methodist Church and Dr. I.W. Johnson. Burial will be in the Whaleyville Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Henry Copeland, J.T. Johnson, James Rogers, Herman Rogers, Murray Norfleet, Elmo N. Norfleet, Emmett Harrell and Stanley Rogers.
