EARL CHARLES RIDDICK

   Suffolk, Oct. 16, - Earl Charles Riddick, 73, died unexpectedly today about 
8:30 a.m. at his home on the White Marsh Road near Suffolk.

   He was a son of the late Charles Richard [sic; Charles B.*] and Ida 
Virginia Jones Riddick, of Nansemond County.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Bonney Riddick; two daughter, Mrs. 
F.H. Forehand and Mrs. M.L. Adkins, of Portsmouth; three sons, Chester C. 
Riddick, of the home, Sumner E. and Willie C. Riddick, of Portsmouth; three 
sisters, Mrs. Rosa Russell and Mrs. Robert Mote, of Suffolk, and Miss Callie 
Riddick, of Atlanta; two brothers, W.C. Riddick, of Nansemond County, and 
B.B. Riddick, of Suffolk, and 12 grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hill Funeral 
Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be in the family cemetery.
