Riddick Dies In Home at Whaleyville W.P. Riddick, prominent citizen of Whaleyville, died at his home Sunday night at 10 o'clock after a long illness, aged 53 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Martha Riddick, and four children: Miss Agnes Riddick, Miss Willie Cross Riddick, Miss Melwyn Riddick and Gordon Riddick, of Whaleyville; two sisters, Mrs. Molly Ethridge of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Mrs. Walters, of Drum Hill, N.C.; two brothers, G.W. Riddick, of Tarboro, and J.W. Riddick, of Drum Hill, N.C., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence, conducted by the Rev. J.R. Taylor, assisted by the Revs. J.S. Maxey, H.C. Horner, and Dr. I.W. Johnson. Interment will be in the family cemetery.
