Novella Rodgers 

  Novella Copeland Rodgers, 94, a native of Nansemond County and the widow of 
Stanley Leroy Rodgers, died Wednesday in her home at 305 S. Broad St.  She was 
the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Copeland and Mrs. Juliette 
Norman Pierce Copeland. 

  Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church and the West 
Memorial Bible Class at Suffolk Christian Church. 

  Survivors include a daughter, Mildred R. Harrell, and a son, Stanley L. 
Rodgers Jr., both of Suffolk; three sisters, Vera G. Copeland, Christine C. 
Duke and Margaret C. March, and two brothers, Thurman G. Copeland and C.C. 
"Jack" Copeland Jr., also of Suffolk; three grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren. 

  The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral 
Home by Hershel Hill.  Burial will be in Somerton Friends Meeting Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
