Stanley L. Rogers, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Rogers, of Nansemond county, died Monday night at his some, 117 North Street, at 12:30 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. He was 49 years of age. Mr. Rogers is survived by his widow, Mrs. Novella Rogers; two children, Miss Mildred Rogers and Stanley Rogers, Jr., both of Suffolk; two brothers, S.M. Rogers, of Greensboro, N.C., and J.T. Rogers, of Williamsburg, Va. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Friend's church near Box Elder, conducted by the Rev. Dr. N.G. Newman and the Rev. Dr. J.G. Truitt. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** STANLEY LEROY RODGERS SUFFOLK, July 31 - Funeral services for Stanley L. Rodgers, who died this morning at his home on North Street after a lingering illness, will be held at the Friends' Church, Box Elder, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Dr. N.G. Newman and the Rev. Dr. John G. Truitt. Mr. Rodgers was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso Rodgers. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Novella Rodgers, a daughter, Miss Mildred Rodgers, and a son, Stanley Rodgers, Jr.; two brothers, S.M. Rodgers, of Greenboro, N.C., and a nephew of Mrs. Irving Truitt and Miss Georgia Rodgers, of this city. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
