Miss Effa Rawls Rites Tomorrow 

  Funeral services for Miss Effa Roberts Rawls will be conducted Friday at 2 
p.m. in the Rawls family cemetery in Nansemond County by the Rev. R.T. 
Grissom, Church and the Rev. Harris Kesler, pastor of Main Street Methodist 
Church.  It has been requested that flowers be omitted. 

  The funeral procession will leave the Hill Funeral Home Friday at 1:30 p.m. 

  Miss Rawls, 87, died Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. 
William H. Britton, 114 Katherine St. after a long illness. 

  A lifelong member of Holy Neck Christian Church, she was the daughter of the 
late Benjamin K. and Mrs. Viola Byrd Rawls of Nansemond County.
