A native of Petersburg, she was the widow of Richard Holland Rawles Sr. and a daughter of Marvin Winfree and Mrs. Nellie Perkinson Gill. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and its Women’s Fellowship and Suffolk Garden Club. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. R.W. Cayll of Satellite Beach, Fla.; a son, Richard H. Rawles Jr. of Dallas, Tex.; a brother, M.W. Gill Jr. of Petersburg; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in I.O. Hill and Co. Funeral Home by Dr. Robert B. Marr.
