R.E. Brittle, pastor. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The body was taken to the Hill Funeral Home. Mrs. Rountree, 26, died Thursday at 5:15 p.m in a Norfolk hospital after an illness of nine days. She lived on the Holland Road. She was the daughter of Vernon and Mrs. Ella Butler Holland of Windsor. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Mary Sue Brittle Sunday School class of the church. Besides her parents, surviving are her husband, Raymond Earl Rountree of the home; seven sisters, Mrs. E.O. O'Berry of Newsoms; Mrs. D.S. Edwards of Surry; Mrs. W.H. Byrum of Suffolk; Mrs. Norbert Brown of Lafayette, Ind.; Miss Jean Holland, Miss Janie Holland and Miss Betty Holland, all of Windsor; six brothers, Awood Holland of Suffolk; Joseph Holland, Charlie Holland, Russell Holland and Willard Holland, all of Windsor, and Ray Holland of Dendron. ****************************************************************************** Funeral Today For Mrs. Alma Rountree Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Ann Holland Rountree will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Rites Held Sunday For Mrs. Rountree Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Ann Holland Rountree, who died Thursday, were conducted Sunday at the Bethlehem Christian Church by Dr. R.E. Brittle, pastor. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Brittle read two poems, "Crossing the Bar" and "To Parents." A quartet composed of Mrs. Dudley Joyner, Mrs. T.A. Poole, Mills Luter and Cecil Smith sang two hymns, "Sometime We Will Understand" and "Does Jesus Care?" They were accompanied at the organ by Mrs. I.W. Johnson. The casket was covered with a pall of red roses, white carnations and baby's breath. Pallbearers were R.C. Brinkley, M.C. Bunch, James Lewis, James Boyette, Jr., Charles B. Umphlett, R. Simon Boone, Stanley Doak and James Parker. The Mary C. Brittle Bible Class and friends were honorary pallbearers.
