William H. Rountree Of Whaleyville, Dies 

  William Henry Rountree, 80, of Whaleyville, died at 4:15 a.m. today at 
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after an illness of two months. 

  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at the I.O. Hill and Co. 
Funeral Home by the Rev. Raymond H. Phelps, pastor of Liberty Spring Christian 
Church, and the Rev. Herbert P. Hall, pastor of the Whaleyville Methodist 
Church.  Burial will be in the Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery. 

  A member of the Liberty Spring Church, he was the son of the late Nathaniel 
Rountree and Mary Frances Lassiter Rountree of Nansemond County. 

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Blanchard Rountree of the home, and 
one brother, Jodie Rountree of Franklin.
