SHAW The funeral services of Percy W. Shaw were conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence, 214 Chestnut street, by the Rev. H.N. Tucker, Dr. H.J. Goodwin, Dr. W.W. Staley. There were many beautiful floral designs. The Brotherhood Order of Trainmen, the Pythians and the Junior Order of Mechanics, were in charge of the services, and were honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers were C.E.W. Lake, M.V. Smith, J.J. Haslette, Walter Goodwin, Clarence Sutton, Harvey Howell, J.H. Boothe, Clyde Gurley. Interment was made in the Western Branch cemetery. Percy Weldon SHAW, N&W R.R. assistant conductor, Guilford Co., NC native, suicide 7 Jun 1930, Suffolk, age 42, interred in Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (Row 3, Plot 2*), 9 Jun 1930, donated obit, newspaper unknown *His parents are also buried there.
