CORA LEE KING SPEIGHT

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Mrs. Cora Lee Speight, 83, the widow of Wavon* W. Speight 
and a daughter of John* and Mrs. Sarah King, died in a hospital Friday morning.

A native of Whaleyville, she lived in Jacksonville 10 years.  She was a former 
resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach and a member of Bayside Baptist Church, 
Virginia Beach.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert C. Howard of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Harold Guy Brown of Jacksonville; two foster sons, L.H. Speight of 
Jacksonville and W.B. Speight of Woodbridge, Va; seven grandchildren; and two 
great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in Hollomon - Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk, 
Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. R. Harris Kesler.  Burial will be in Rosewood 
Memorial Park.

The family will be at 3475 W. Bonner Drive, Norfolk.

   Wavon W. Speight, though there is no photo (Jul 2019).
