WILLIAM HENRY SHEFFIELD

   SUFFOLK - A funeral service for William Henry Sheffield, 63, was held 
Monday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church by Dr. Wayne W. Poplin.  Burial 
was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, with R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home in charge.

   Sheffield died Friday in a Norfolk hospital.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Mildred P. 
Sheffield and the son of Mrs. Rosa Council Sheffield of Suffolk.

   He was a retired owner of Sheffield Lumber Co. and was a member of 
First Baptist Church and Suffolk Masonic Lodge 30.

   Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mildred S. Wells of Greenville, 
N.C.
