Mrs. Sheffield's Funeral Is Today 

  Mrs. Willie McDonald Sheffield, 910 Virginia Ave., died unexpectedly 
Saturday at 12:15 a.m. at Obici Memorial Hospital.  She was 59 years old. 

  Funeral services will be conducted today at 4 p.m. at the Baker Funeral Home 
by the Rev. John C. Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church.  Burial will 
be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  She was the widow of Obie W. Sheffield of Suffolk and daughter of the late 
William McDonald and Sarah Hogwood McDonald of Dinwiddie County. 

  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary 
Post 57, and member of Widows of World War I, and for the past eight years was 
employed by John F. and John B. Pinner Insurance Company.  She has lived in 
Suffolk for the past 40 years. 

  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Sheffield Ward of Suffolk, a 
sister, Mrs. Dennis P. Claypool, Sr. of Norfolk; two grandsons, Douglas A. 
Ward and Ronald C. Ward of Suffolk.

Mrs. Willie Sheffield Buried In Cedar Hill 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Willie McDonald Sheffield, who died Friday, were 
conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Baker Funeral Home by the Rev. John C. 
Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. C. Bailey Jones, 
pastor of West End Baptist Church.  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  Mrs. James T. Nolen of the First Baptist Church sang "My Jesus As Thou 
Wilt," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. W.F. Whitley, organist. 

  The casket was covered with a pall of pink carnations, pink roses [and] 
Easter lilies. 

  Pallbearers were Leon Saunders, Jack E. Wells, E.H. Stephenson, Dudley 
Rollings, W.J. Oliver, Sr., F.H. Cathey, Jack T. Moore, and J. Lewis Rawls, 
Jr.
