STAFFORD BURIED FRIDAY Funeral services for William James Stafford, whose body was found Thursday morning in a swamp along the North Carolina Highway, were held Friday afternoon at the graveside at the Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. Earl Farrell officiating. According to a coroner’s report Stafford’s death was caused by self- inflicted gun wounds. The church choir song "Does Jesus Care" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." The pall was of red roses, purple and white asters. Pallbearers were Randolph Lynch, Ryland Brinkley, Shirley Baines, Sidney Skinner, Haywood Bunch, Earl Bunch, Frank Harrell and Henderson Skinner.
