(Special to The Times-Dispatch.) SUFFOLK, VA., June 1. - As the result of an accident on May 10, when he was bruised internally by being thrown from a buggy, Frank E. Stallings, a justice of the peace at Buckhorn, Nansemond county, died early this morning, aged 50 years. Justice Stalling's horse became frightened at a pile driver, and he jumped to escape more serious damage. His wife, who was Miss Mittie Eley, of Suffolk, preceded him to the grave. There are no children. Frank E. Kilby, Commonwealth's Attorney E.E. Holland and Mr. Lee Britt, Superintendent of Schools, yesterday had a meeting in the courthouse to hear charges preferred against Mr. Frank E. Stallings, clerk of the Board of School Trustees in Chuckatuck District. A petition, with about eighty signatures attached, asking for Mr. Stallings' removal was presented by Mr. Tobe Gray. Seventy five witnesses had been summoned, but many did not appear. S.P. Vanderslice was counsel for the defendant, who was honorably acquitted.
