STONE Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa E. Stone, 72, who died at her home on Wellons Street in Suffolk last Friday night, were conducted at 4:30 last Sunday afternoon at the I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home in Suffolk. Mrs. Stone was a native of the Myrtle community in Nansemond County, but for the past six years had lived in Suffolk. The services were conducted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church near Suffolk, of which the deceased had been a member since childhood. He was assisted by Dr. John G. Truitt of the Suffolk Christian Church. A quartette composted of Mrs. John G. Truitt, Mrs. M.F. Hall, H. Woodward and C.C. Pierce sang "Does Jesus Care?" "Rock of Ages" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were D.O. Savage, I.L. Pierce, Forrest Pierce, J.S. Williams, J.B. Archer, S.L. McClenny, Z. Turner and Burgess Harrell. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. Rosa Elizabeth (WHITLEY; Mrs. William W.)
