Shotton Succumbs Suddenly [photo, captioned:] Thomas E. Shotton Thomas Enos Shotton, 77, died suddenly at 9 o'clock this morning at his home, 528 Riverview Drive. He was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., but had made his home in Suffolk for the past 33 years. He has been connected with Planters Nut and Chocolate Co. as superintendent for more than 40 years. He was a member of Fidelity Lodge 665, AF and AM of Wilkes-Barre, Mt. Nebo Royal Arch Chapter No. 20, Lodge 685 BPO Elks. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Lewis Shotton; two daughters, Mrs. W.P. Browning, of Ashland, Ky., and Mrs A.R. Butler, of Carrsville; five sons, Charles H. Shotton, Frank T. Shotton, Howard J. Shotton, and Thomas E. Shotton , Jr., all of this city; a sister, Mrs. Howard J. Pear of West Pittston, Pa., and 15 grandchildren. The body was taken to the I.O. Hill Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted [Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock*] by the Rev. Graham C. McChesney. [Burial will be in Cedar Hill] cemetery.
