Steinhardt will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at the graveside in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. C. Bailey Jones, pastor of West End Baptist Church, and Dr. Hampden H. Smith, pastor of Main Street Methodist Church. The procession will leave the Baker Funeral Home at 2:45 p.m. Mr. Steinhardt, 56, who lived at 511 North Broad St., died Saturday at Obici Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was an auto mechanic for the Luhring Motor Co. of Norfolk. He was the son of the late Henry and Mary Rodgers Steinhardt of Nansemond County, where he was born. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leta Saunders Steinhardt of Suffolk, and a half- sister, Mrs. Grace Steinhardt Burgess of Capron; also a number of nieces and nephews. Lillian Gillie DERBY, 15 Oct 1921 in Nansemond Co.; they div. in 1925. Gillie (1904 - 1948) 2m. Garland Hatcher DUCK. She is buried in Newman Memorial Cemetery, Oakland Christian Church, Chuckatuck. Garland is buried with his second wife in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. Gillie's parents, Junius Paul & Nannie B. (MILES) DERBY, are buried in a MILES family cemetery, near Winborne Mills, Southampton Co.
