SULLIVAN Funeral services for Oscar E. Sullivan, who met his death on the tracks of the Norfolk & Western Thursday [sic; Wednesday] morning, were held Friday afternoon at the I.O. Hill & Company funeral home, conducted by Dr. George Wesley Jones, assisted by Dr. H.J. Goodwin and the Rev. O.M. Clarke. A quartette from the Main Street Methodist church, accompanied by Mrs. W.F. Whitley, sang the hymns "Rock of Ages" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul." A pall of pink roses and carnations covered the casket. There were many handsome floral tributes. Active pallbearers were: J.W. Ward, Henry Rawles, Marvin Whitley, W.W. Mumford, W.J. Wails, M. Calvin Benton, R.T. Daughtrey, and M. Anderson Maxey. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers. Interment was made in Cedar Hill cemetery. Oscar Everett SULLIVAN, night watchman, b. 24 Jul 1884, Mt.
