N. T. Shelton, Retired Farmer, Succumbs at 82 

  Nathaniel Thomas Shelton, 82, retired Whaleyville area farmer, died Monday 
at 2:15 p.m. in Nash-Mont Nursing Home, Rocky Mount, N.C. 

  He was a son of Joseph and Mrs. Lousette Stark Shelton and husband of the 
late Mrs. Lucy Alford Shelton.  He was a member of Whaleyville Methodist 
Church. 

  Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lucy S. Clipfel of Washington; two sons, B. 
Franklin Shelton of Rocky Mount and Nathaniel W. Shelton of Whaleyville; a 
sister, Mrs. Martha Allsbrook of Hamilton, N.C.; six grandrhildren; and two 
great-granddaughters. 

  The body was taken to the Baker Funeral Home.  Funeral arrangements will be 
announced later.
