Rites Held For Mrs. Alva Shawn 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Alva Wright Shawn, who died Saturday morning at 
her home in Berkley, will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the 
South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church.  Burial is to be in Cedar Hill 
Cemetery. 

  Mrs. Shawn is the sister of Percy and Wallace Wright of this city.

b. 22 Oct 1901, Isle of Wight Co., d. 12 Apr 1947, at home, Berkley, 
interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block H, Lot 23*), Suffolk, 15 Apr 1947,

   (1883 - 1946), & brothers Carroll Wallace & Percy Travis are buried in 
   the same lot, which Carroll owned; her half-brother Leighton A. is buried 
   in Block V, Lot 26:

Her husband (1901 - 1988) has a stone in the same lot; 
   Find a Grave Memorial #95166651 gives his middle name as Edwards. 

However, Capt. Allie Edward SHAWN is buried with his third wife in Westlawn 
   Cemetery, Elizabeth City, Pasquotank Co., NC.  (Find a Grave Memorial 
   #120641979)
