EDGAR SIMPSON 

  Edgar Wilson Simpson, 71, of 209 N. Broad St., restauranteur, sportsman, and 
hunter, died Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in his Lake Cahoon Clubhouse. 

  A native of Pasquotank County, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Louise Smith 
Simpson and a son of Jesse Guy [sic; Franklin*] and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth White 
Simpson. 

  He owned and operated Simpson's Restaurant here 23 years. 

  He was a member of Choppen Oak Methodist Church in Pasquotank County, the 
Camp P.D. Hunt Club, Kenyon Hunt Club and David Ridley Hunt Club. 

  Surviving, besides his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. A. Johnson Turner of 
Suffolk and Miss Linda Lee Simpson of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia 
Simpson Pearce of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Simpson Kincaid of 
Los Angeles; a brother, Charles Linwood Simpson of Sacramento, Calif.; and a 
granddaughter, Candice Olivia Turner of Suffolk. 

  The body was taken to I.O. Hill Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk. 

  A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery by 
Dr. Robert B. Marr.
