Simpson, will be held at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk, Wednesday at two o'clock. Burial will be here in Cedar Hill cemetery. A native of Hertford, Mr. Simpson was a resident of Whaleyville until moving to Norfolk about 20 years ago. At Whaleyville he was active in religious circles, being superintendent of the Great Fork Baptist Church for 35 years and was a member of the board of deacons. In Norfolk, Mr. Simpson attended Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, where he was deacon emeritus. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Harrell, of this city, and Mrs. L.D. Edmonds, of Norfolk; five sons, W.B. Simpson, of Franklin; George R. Simpson, of Russellville, S.C., Charles M., Frank O., and Harvey S. Simpson, all of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a great, great [grand]child.
