WILLIAM LEIGH SMITH

   SMITH - Died suddenly at his residence, 3101 Grant St., Tuesday, July 19, 
1949, William Leigh Smith beloved husband of Blanche Rawls Smith.  Besides his 
wife, he is survived by three children, Audrey Lee, Wilmoth Leigh and Wm. Leigh 
Smith, Jr.; his father W.H. Smith, of Baltimore; one brother, Clyde Smith, of 
Hopewell; five sisters, Mrs. R.W. Graham, Mrs. W.L. Muir, Mrs. J.E. Hood and 
Mrs. D.C. Thompson, all of Baltimore; Mrs. D.A. Esker, of Kansas City, Mo.  The 
remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral home, Third and Marshall where 
funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.  Interment in Liberty Springs 
Christian Church Cemetery, Nansemond County near Suffolk, Va., at 4 p.m.
