Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Saunders at Nansemond County, received word today of the death of Mr. Saunders' brother, Thomas Ralph Saunders, in Winston-Salem, N.C. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. ****************************************************************************** County Native Dies in Carolina Thomas Ralph Saunders, a former resident of Nansemond County, died yesterday at 10 a.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was the son of the late Thomas J. and Mrs. Molly Brittain Saunders, of Nansemond County. Mr. Saunders is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Parke P. Deans, of Richmond; Mrs. Paul Waetge, of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Fred Lee Lorraine, also of Winston-Salem; five brothers, Fred A. Saunders, of Richmond; Fitzhugh L. Saunders, of Huntington, Pa.; Calvin B. Saunders, of Roanoke; Thomas J. Saunders, III, of Suffolk, and A.N. Saunders of Winston-Salem, and several nieces and nephews. The body arrived in Suffolk this morning and was taken to the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. W.L. Donat, pastor of Providence Methodist Church, and Dr. I.W. Johnson. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
