MARTHA PIERCE DAUGHTREY SIMONS

   SUFFOLK, VA., April 10 - The funeral services of the late Mrs. Martha 
Simons were held yesterday at Western Branch church, Rev. J.L. King 
officiating.

   The active pallbearers were John Ashburn, John Vaughan, John Powell, 
Leon Darden, Sam Nelms, John Johnson, Frank Ashburn, Herron Gardner.

   Honorary - The deacons of the church, Frank Eley, W.J. Nelms, G.A. 
Johnson, B.P. Holland, J.M. Underwood, M.L. Vaughan, J.J. Johnson.

   The flowers were beautiful and hundreds of friends were present at 
the services.


Martha Elizabeth (PIERCE DAUGHTREY; Mrs. John) SIMONS, 
Nansemond Co. native, d. 7 Apr 1915, Myrtle, age 82, 
interred in Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (Row 1, Plot 3*), 
   9 Apr 1915,
