His death brought to two, the toll of the accident which occurred when the automobile went off the road. Simmins was reported by police to have been the driver of the car in which Norman T. Gautier, of Suffolk was killed. The accident took place on Route 337. Simmons, who resided at 103 South Broad Street, is survived by his wife, Mildred Simmons, and three children, Barbara Anne, 8, Annette, 5, and Kathleen, 2. Other survivors are his sister, Mrs. Otis Smith, of Franklin, and a brother, Beverly Simmons of Franklin. His foster parents are Mr. and Mrs. Julian P. Lewis of West Washington Street, Suffolk. ****************************************************************************** Wreck Victim To Be Buried Funeral services for William Randolph Simmons, 30, who died early yesterday morning at the Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Monday night near Portsmouth, will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Home at 3:30 o'clock. Dr. John G. Truitt and the Rev. R.E. Brittle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** WILLIAM RANDOLPH SIMMONS William Randolph Simmons, 30, of 103 S. Broad Street, Suffolk, died on Friday, November 19, at Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, of injuries suffered the previous Monday night in an automobile accident near Hodges Ferry, in the same accident Norman T. Gautier, also of Suffolk, was killed instantly. The deceased was a son of the late Charles and Annie White Simmons of Nansemond County. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Salmon Simmons; three daughters, Barbara Ann,Annette and Kathleen Simmons of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Otis Smith of Franklin; a brother, Beverly Simmons, also of Franklin; and his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Lewis of Suffolk. Funeral services for Mr. Simmons were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the I.O. Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, by Rev. John G. Truitt, D.D., and Rev. R.E. Brittle, followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
