TAYLOR DIES AT AGE 77 Brother of John Taylor, of Suffolk, and Prominent Resident of the Whaleyville Section, Long Ill, Succumbs Today. Charles G. [sic; C.] Taylor, aged 77 years, a prominent resident of Nansemond County, living near Whaleyville, Va., died this morning at 6:30 o'clock at his home, after a long illness. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Evie Lena Taylor, and four children, Mrs. Arthur Phelps, and Mrs. E.R. Lowe, of Whaleyville; Mrs. J.T. Milteer, of South Quay, Va.; W.E. Taylor, of Whaleyville; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Riddick and Mrs. Mary Rogers, both of Norfolk; two half-brothers, John Taylor, of Suffolk, and Paul Taylor, of Whaleyville; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Whaleyville Methodist church conducted by the Rev. J.S. Maxey. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
