A native of Blackstone, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Louise Terrell Thompson and a son of Charles C. Thompson Sr. and Mrs. Effie Knot Thompson. He was a retired salesman of Lily Tulip Corp. New York. He was a member of Suffolk Elks Lodge 684 and Travelers Protective Association Post P. Surviving are a son, Bobby Stevens of Miami; a sister, Mrs. Phoebe Skipwith of Churchland; two brothers C.C. Thompson Jr. and Elvey K. Thompson of Suffolk; and three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. James H. Newsoms. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
