THORNTON Mrs. Delia W. Thornton, wife of Hiram C. Thornton, died Friday at her home in Suffolk. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at Suffolk, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, the Misses Dorothy and Margaret Thornton of Suffolk; her mother, Mrs. Fidelia Waugh of Richmond; two sisters, and Mrs. Frances Bell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Miss Mary Waugh of Richmond, and a brother, Thomas E. Waugh of Baltimore. ****************************************************************************** Hold Final Rites For Mrs. Thornton This Afternoon Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Oxford Methodist Church for Mrs. Delia W. Thornton, 48, who died Thursday night after a short illness. The Rev. N.H. Davis will conduct the services. The wife of H.C. Thornton, Mrs. Thornton was active in the religious life of her church and was widely known in the city. Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Misses Dorothy and Margaret Thornton, of Suffolk; her mother, Mrs. Fidelia Waugh, of Richmond; two sisters, Miss Mary Waugh, of Richmond, and Mrs. C.M. Bell, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Thomas E. Waugh, of Baltimore; two nieces and two nephews.
