Special to The Landmark. Suffolk, Va., July 6. - The remains of Mr. J.W. Turnley arrived here this morning on the 10:52 train on the Norfolk and Western railroad and were met by Equality Lodge No. 108, I.O.O.F., of which he was an honored member, sorrowing relatives and many friends, and conveyed to the Main Street M.E. Church, where Rev. W.T. Green, the pastor, conducted the funeral services at 11 o'clock. Miss Lizzie Tucker and Mrs. W.T. Graham sang a beautiful duet at the church - "Sometime We'll Understand." The following gentlemen acted as pall-bearers: Messrs. J.T. Parker, W.T. Rabey, J.M. Swindell, Abram Wilroy, W.H. Barnes and J.T. Roberts. The honorary pall-hearers were Hon. R.L. Brewer, Sr., and Mr. H.R. Culley. The interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
