CLAUDE FORREST TURNER

   SUFFOLK, Oct. 1, Claude Forrest Turner, 73, died unexpectedly today at 4:30 
a.m. at his home at 809 W. Washington St.

   He had been a bookkeeper for Clark-Andrews Motor Co. for the past 18 years. 
He was a member of the Suffolk Christian Church and a son of the late Isaac 
Walton [sic; Walter] and Wortley Elizabeth Lassiter Turner of Nansemond County.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sue Beale Turner, and a sister, Mrs. C.V. 
Long, of Churchland.

   Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at the Hill 
Funeral Home by the Rev. George D. Alley, pastor of the Suffolk Christian 
Church.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
