Turner, 1605 High Street, Portsmouth, died Wednesday, November 21, 1906 at 2:00 a.m. She was 41 years of age and a native of Nansemond County. The remains will be forwarded to Nansemond County Thursday, November 22, 1906 at 10:00 a.m. by Southern train. Interment will take place upon the arrival of the remains at their destination at the homestead, near Savage's Crossing. She leaves 2 sisters, Mrs. Charlie Williams of Suffolk, Mrs. Edward Harrell of Portsmouth; 3 brothers, Willie Baker of Suffolk, J.A. Baker and O.L. Baker of Savage Crossing. The funeral was conducted by Rev. I.W. Johnson at the old homestead. A very large crowd was present and the floral display was beautiful. Following are the gentleman who acted as pallbearers: D.W. Henderson, J.L. Pierce, M.T. Bradshaw, J.B. Johnson, J.T. Pierce and Frank Savage. [Ella May (BAKER; Mrs. George W.)
