Holland & Son Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Joseph McTeer. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Pallbearers were George Hedgepeth, G.G. Darden, J.W. Stephens, Rawlston Rhodes, Guthrie Ballard, James A. Jones, Ryland Duck and Grafton Spivey. Turner, 66, a retired farmer, died Sunday afternoon in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ethel Carr Turner and a son of John L. and Mrs. Josephine Spivey Turner. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Taylor of Windsor; two brothers, Richard Turner and Beecher Turner of Suffolk; and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Turner of Suffolk and Mrs. Alma Carr of Franklin.
