N. Turner, died yesterday at 4:30 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. P.H. Shackelford, 1822 North Street, after a long illness. She was a native of Southampton County and had lived in this section for 35 years. Besides Mrs. Shackelford, she is survived by four other daughters, Mrs. W.M. Lee, of Portsmouth, Mrs. L.J. Sherman, of Chicago, Mrs. J.P. Haydel, of New Orleans, and Mrs. J.L. Hudson, of Hampton; three sons, H.D. Turner, of Waterloo, Iowa, O.N. Turner, of Hampton, and P.O. Turner of Portsmouth; 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great- great grandson. The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home.
