Mills Shade Turner's Funeral Rites Sunday 

  SMITHFIELD - Funeral services for Mills Shade Turner, 70, who died early 
today at his home in Isle of Wight County after a long illness, will be 
conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home by 
the Rev. Ellis N. Clark, the Rev J.P. Lightner and the Rev. H.B. [sic; H.E.] 
Crutchfield.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk. 

  He was a lifelong resident and farmer of Isle of Wight County and a member 
of the Antioch Christian Church.  He had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Henry 
J. Whitley near Windsor for the past 23 years. 

  He is survived by one brother, Lennie H.* Turner of Hampton; one sister, 
Mrs. B.H. Carr of Norfolk and a number of nieces and nephews.

Find a Grave (Memorial #156698585 &c.) lists his parents, Andrew Jackson & 
   "Nannie" Nancy A. (THORNE) TURNER, in the TURNER family cemetery on Tar Rd. 
   However, only his brother is marked there.
