MRS. SALLIE B. UZZELL 

  Mrs. Sallie Bland Uzzell, 85, of 217 Pearl St. died at 3:25 p.m. Monday in 
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Vanakin Uzzell and 
a daughter of Benjamin and Mrs. Sarah Whitley Bland.

  She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Kings Servant Sunday School 
Class of the church. 

  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Madeline U. Bowers of Suffolk; two 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in I.O. Hill & 
Company Funeral Home by the Rev. K. Donald Berg.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill 
Cemetery.
