JOSEPHINE UMPHLETTE Suffolk, Sept. 15 - Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Umphlette were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m., at Cypress Chapel Christian Church, by the Rev. J.M. Roberts, assisted the Rev. Dr. I.W. Johnson. Active pallbearers were F.R. Umphlette, W.R. Harrell, F.W. Skinner, J.R. Pierce, T.H. Wilkins, E. Horton, Fred Harrell, W.A. Harrell; honorary, C.T. Horton, B.F. Savage, R.L. Ashley, Preston Byrd, W.T. Baker, David Duke. Burial was in the church cemetery. Josephine (BRIGGS; Mrs. Riddick R.)
