[sic; A.*] Underwood Buried Nov. 7th [sic; 4th*] * * * David H. [sic; A.] Underwood, former resident of Nansemond County, died at his residence in Newport News November 1st. [sic*] He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. L.F. Darden of Suffolk; Mrs. J.T. Brock of Smithfield, Mrs. Harry Knapp of Baltimore, Mrs. Floyd Zebendon of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers, J.W. and P.T. Underwood of Suffolk and L.L. Underwood of Norfolk. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2:30 P. M. at the Hampton Christian Church. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. His step-mother, Novella Virginia (GRIFFIN AGEE) UNDERWOOD, is buried with her first husband in Whiteheads Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
