Vaughan and daughter of late Nathaniel Bradshaw and Mrs. Mary Ellen Joyner Bradshaw, died this morning at 3:30 o’clock at her residence, 306 Dinwiddie Street, after a long illness. She was a native of Nansemond County, but had made her home in Portsmouth for several years. Mrs. Vaughan was a member of Court Street Baptist Church and was widely known throughout the city. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Doris Bell Vaughan, of this city; five sons, Gordon L. Vaughan, Wilson W. Vaughan, William J. Vaughan, Paul B. Vaughan and Leland Vaughan, all of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Gardner, of this city, and Mrs. Mamie Wade, of Franklin; four brothers, Floyd, Herman, John, and Fate Bradshaw, all of Suffolk, and three grandchildren. The body was removed to the Richardson and Foster Funeral Home, High Street and Fifth Avenue, pending funeral arrangements, which had not been completed early this afternoon.
